Hibs fear Sean O'Hanlon break

Hibs have suffered an early-season setback with the news that summer signing Sean O'Hanlon could be sidelined with a broken bone in his foot.

O'Hanlon limped out of his competitive debut in Sunday's defeat by Celtic. With fears he could have fractured a toe, the 28-year-old was left behind when manager Colin Calderwood took his squad south to Lancashire for this evening's friendly with Blackpool.

Calderwood has already all but ruled the former Swindon and MK Dons defender out of Saturday's trip to face Inverness Caley Thistle but is waiting for scan results to discover the full extent of the injury.

He said: "We are checking to see if there is a break in one of his toes. We haven't brought him with us to Blackpool and, in reality, I think he probably won't go to Inverness either."
