Richard Jones, Westfield: "That was a really disappointing end to the match after a courageous performance from Hearts. In the first half, I thought that we found it difficult to create openings but Rangers were equally poor and I thought that we managed to contain them pretty well.

"I think as the game went on, we started to grow in confidence and looked a wee bit better on the ball. The first goal was always going to be crucial and it was a brilliant piece of football that got us in front. It was a superb move and it was great to see Scott Robinson following up after the initial save by McGregor.

"After that, we expected a Rangers onslaught but it didn't really come and Ryan Wallace was close to making it 2-0. However, Rangers still got their goal in stoppage time and they just got the break of the ball at the right time. However, I would have settled for a point before the game and it's important that we try to get another win on the board against Aberdeen on Wednesday."

Michael Gilbert, Loanhead: "A great display from Hearts. On reflection, a draw was probably just about a fair result but it is always hard to swallow when you lose a goal so late in the match.

"In the first half, we had a few close shaves and I was glad to see us go in 0-0 at half time. However, in the second half, I thought that we produced a much-improved display. I thought that Christian Nade was very unlucky to be booked initially because I don't think he even fouled David Weir but, having been booked, I cannot understand why he'd be silly enough to kick the ball away and he can have no complaints about the second yellow card.

"At Ibrox, the referee doesn't usually need an excuse to send off a Hearts player but Nade made it easy for him. At that stage, I wondered whether it might have been a mistake by Nade that might cost us a point but then we got the goal. After that, we were holding on a bit and Rangers missed a couple of great chances and I felt that maybe it was going to be our day.

"However, the goal in stoppage time was a hammer blow and it was disappointing that nobody was near Little when he was on his own when he scored. It's a good point, though."

Grant Mann, Longstone: "An excellent performance from Hearts. I thought that, tactically, Csaba Laszlo got it spot on. Despite Rangers having an extra man in midfield and then, in the final 20 minutes, an extra man on the pitch, we more than matched them and were desperately unlucky not to win the match.

"I thought the back four was absolutely solid and, despite Rangers having plenty of possession, they really struggled to break us down. I think that, since Kello has come in, we have looked much more solid at the back and we were close to another clean sheet and another 1-0 win. The good run we are on is because we have gone back to basics. We still need to bring in attacking players – especially with Nade suspended – but we are well organised and that got us into Europe last season."
