Robert Reid, Oxgangs: "That was a much easier win than I thought that it would be. The gulf in class between the two sides was massive.

"After we got our noses in front, we were far superior and Hibs will be mighty relieved to have escaped with a 2-1 defeat. Obua, Driver, Glen and Suso all had fantastic chances to put the game well beyond Hibs and it's not unrealistic to say that we could have been looking at six or seven here. Hibs got their goal late on and, after that, it was a bit nervy for us. However, you cannot criticise the players because we had so many players who were struggling for fitness and it was clear that tiredness was a huge factor in Hibs coming into the game in the last ten minutes. There's no doubt, though, that we completely deserved to win the game.

"It was a terrific team display and if we can keep up that level of performance then we can feel confident of securing our top six place and maybe we can even look at catching Hibs."

Peter McDonnell, Stockbridge: "That was the most one-sided derby matches in recent years. I thought that it was tight and tense in the early stages. For me, Suso coming on and Kingston moving into the middle was crucial. Suso is direct and his pace gave Hibs a huge problem and they really had no answer to him. It was a lovely bit of play by Suso that led to the first goal and a great finish by Andy Driver. That goal rattled Hibs and it was a real poacher's goal from Gary Glen to make it two.

"We kept pushing and missed some unbelievably good chances to wrap it up. It very nearly proved to be costly because we were under a bit of pressure towards the end. It's a great three points for us and it was a game that we really had to win after losing our last two matches. Hopefully this result will be the springboard to push on and secure our place in the top six.

"My man of the match was David Obua. He won a lot of balls in the air and he showed some nice touches. If he can keep playing like that, he will be a massive player for us in the run-in."

Leigh Morrow, Newington: "When you consider the number of players that we had missing and the number of players who we had to play who weren't fully fit, this is a fantastic result. We were fired up for the game and we set out our stall to attack and we showed that we are a much more creative, attacking side under Jefferies.

"We had a makeshift defence but Hibs barely troubled us and I thought that we completely bossed the game in the middle of the park. You could see how much effort the whole team put in and we certainly couldn't complain about the lack of effort from anyone in a maroon jersey.

"I thought that we took our goals really well but my only complaint is that we should have won by a much, much bigger margin than we did. There were so many strong individual performances on Saturday but we worked so well as a unit and I can't even remember Balogh having a save to make before Riordan scored."
