Hearts: Your say on Tynecastle move

Jambos have their say following Hearts' decision to survey fans over a possible move from Tynecastle .?.

Alex Jones, Loanhead: "I wouldn't have any problems at all with a proposed move away from Tynecastle. We need to accept the reality that staying at Tynecastle is not financially viable. My concern is that while clubs like Aberdeen and Hibs have their stadiums sorted out and are able to invest in the playing squad, we will be left behind paying to try to maintain Tynecastle. I wouldn't object to the idea of the club selling naming rights like Arsenal did with the Emirates either. The only name that matters is Heart of Midlothian Football Club and the stadium name is not important."

Stuart Rogers, Newington: "I would definitely need to be convinced of the financial side of things. How much more debt would the club accumulate acquiring the new stadium? Also, for me, stadium ownership is the key. If Hearts owned the new stadium, that would be okay but I would be against it if it was a joint venture or a rental agreement."

Scott Fletcher, Newtongrange: "It'd be nice to stay at Tynecastle in an ideal world but there seems to be too many obstacles in the way. I don't think that moving is a problem, though. I support the club and not the stadium and if a club like Arsenal can move away from Highbury, I don't understand why it would be a problem for Hearts."

Gavin Markham, Dunfermline: "If it is going to help the club financially, then I would be happy enough to move. Having said that, I would definitely like to see us stay at a redeveloped Tynecastle. It has been our home for 125 years. There is so much history and tradition at Tynecastle and there are so many great memories of famous victories there."

Martin Gardner, Danderhall: "I definitely don't want to see the club move away from Tynecastle. The fans didn't stand for it the last time that this was proposed under Chris Robinson and I don't see why it would be any different this time. Tynecastle is our home and I do not accept that there is a need for the club to relocate away from our home. What would be the point in moving to an even bigger stadium when we are struggling to fill Tynecastle just now except for games against Rangers, Celtic and Hibs. This could prove to be the last straw with regards to the fans' relationship with Romanov."

Craig Little, Dalkeith: "I would love to see Hearts remain at Tynecastle but we've got to be realistic and I'm not convinced that it's possible to stay. Three years have passed since Romanov first talked about a new stand and we still haven't managed to take a step forward because of problems with planning, health and safety legislation and other issues. I feel that a move is inevitable now and it's just a case of the fans letting the club know what we want in a "new" stadium and hope the board secures the best possible deal for Hearts."
