Hearts: Your Say

Scott Howie, Prestonfield: "That was an absolutely massive victory for Hearts. It could be the difference between playing European football and not next season and it would be an unbelievable achievement to leapfrog Hibs into fifth place after the season we've had.

"We started the game better and were dominating without really threatening Hibs in the first half. The second half started in the same vein but then they got their penalty.

"It was an absolutely shocking decision by Dougie McDonald. Even from the other end of the stadium, I could see that Rankin wasn't touched and I couldn't believe it when the penalty was given. We were rattled by that and we lost our composure but bringing on Elliot and Suso turned the game. Elliot deserves plenty of credit for chasing what looked like a lost cause and it was a composed finish from Suso.

"That set up the grandstand finish and it was brilliant when we got the winner. Templeton's cross was first class and the big man couldn't miss at the back post. A great win for Hearts. If we can produce that kind of performance in our last two games, a place in Europe could well be ours."

Colin Maguire, Longstone: "An excellent performance and result for Hearts. I thought that we were better than they were and we earned the win. It showed that there is plenty of character in the team that we recovered from falling behind to a shocking refereeing decision to come back and win.

"The penalty decision was absolutely shocking – one of the softest penalties that I've ever seen.We might have folded at that point but we worked our way back into the game and we got a break with the equaliser. Elliot chased the ball and he did extremely well to put the Hibs defence under pressure and force the mistake and Suso was there to knock it in. The winner was probably the easiest goal that Obua has ever scored but it's definitely the most important one. Winning at Easter Road is always a great feeling but when you come from behind and score a late goal, it's even better."

Graeme Gallacher, Dalry: "That is a brilliant result. We were under a bit of pressure to win this one after a shocking display against Motherwell last week but we responded in the best possible way. It was a good game and both teams had their chances. For me, the key to us winning was that we dominated the midfield area.

"There was plenty said about Larry Kingston in the build-up to this match but his performance in this game answered all of his critics. He was really unlucky not to score in the first half with the effort that hit the post and his passing and vision was top class.

"He has done a great job since JJ came in and I would like to see Larry stay next season. The other star performer for me was David Templeton.
