Hearts: Your Say

Gary Morrison, Newington: "It would have been nice to finish the season with a win but it never really looked on, to be honest. I thought that both teams looked a bit sluggish in the early stages but then some poor defending by Marius Zaliukas gifted them a goal. That seemed to galvanise us a bit and we pushed forward and put them under a bit of pressure and we got the reward when Zaliukas got the equaliser.

"It was quite an even contest at that stage and I had hoped that we would keep it going after the break. Unfortunately, it was Celtic rather than us who came out of the traps in the second half and it was no surprise when they got the winner. We have had a poor season and there is a lot of hard work to do in time for next season. I hope that Romanov gives Jefferies his backing and allows him to bring in some quality players. I would like to see four or five new faces and it's essential that a couple of them are natural goalscorers."

Michael Graham, Fountainbridge: "That wasn't the end of season performance we were looking for. There wasn't much passion or spark, although it was good to see a few players working hard with Ryan Stevenson the pick of the bunch. You can see that there is the nucleus of a good side there with Zaliukas, Ismael Bouzid, Eggert Jonsson, David Templeton, Stevenson, David Obua and, hopefully, Larry Kingston as well.

"On top of those, we have Suso, Ian Black, Lee Wallace and Ruben Palazuelos. If we can hold that squad together and add a few players, then I'm sure that JJ can get us back up where we belong challenging for Europe next season.

"Everybody knows where our biggest weakness lies and we will hopefully be able to bring in a striker or two to bolster the squad. We have some decent players but don't have anyone we can rely on to put the ball in the net. If we can bring in someone like Kevin Kyle in time for next season, maybe we will have more to shout about next season."

Craig Lewis, Stockbridge: "It is disappointing to have lost our last game of the season but, with nothing to play for, it doesn't really make much difference.

"We struggled to compete at times against a Celtic team that was much sharper and the decision to rest a few players because of the risk of suspension weakened us a bit. It was the right thing to do though but I wish we'd left Ryan Stevenson out too. He played well but he'll miss the start of next season now. Over the course of the season, we have not been good enough. The lack of a cutting edge has been our problem all season and I hope Jefferies is able to bring in a few new players with a new striker obviously being a big priority.

"Despite having had a pretty poor season by our standards, we weren't far away from making Europe and, if we'd had better home form after the split, we might have made it. However, with JJ in charge, I hope we can kick on next season."
