Hearts have made no bid says Bryson

KILMARNOCK'S Craig Bryson would consider an opportunity to work under Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown again at Hearts but stressed today that no moves have been made to lure him to Tynecastle.

The midfielder, 23, became a mainstay of Jefferies' Kilmarnock side after joining from Clyde in 2007, and the manager has been credited with an interest in taking him to Edinburgh this summer.

Any transfer would involve a fee since Bryson is contracted to the Ayrshire club for another two years.

"As far as I'm concerned, I haven't heard anything," said Bryson. "I'm still under contract at Kilmarnock so it would have to go through the club.

"Billy and Jim took me from Clyde and gave me my chance in the SPL so I'll always be thankful for that.

"I really enjoyed working under them at Kilmarnock. If the offer came up again I'd see what would happen. The season only just finished so I haven't spoken to anybody."

Hearts meanwhile have shown no interest in Burnley's out-of-contract striker Robbie Blake, sources close to the player have confirmed.

Recent reports suggested that Jefferies harboured an interest in the 34-year-old who played under him at Bradford City but there has been no contact between the pair. Blake is currently stalling over a new contract at Turf Moor in the hope of securing regular first-team football elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Hearts were fined yesterday by the Scottish Football Association for their involvement in December's Battle of New Douglas Park. They were issued a 10,000 punishment, 5000 of which is suspended for two years. The Lanarkshire club were also fined 10,000 but had all of it suspended for two years.

Hearts captain Michael Stewart and Ismael Bouzid, were ordered off during the 2-1 defeat by Hamilton, although the former had his dismissal reduced to a caution on appeal. Four other red cards were issued retrospectively following a fracas in the tunnel at full-time, with visiting players Suso and Ian Black dismissed along with Hearts masseur Alan Robson and the Hamilton's Leon Knight.
