Don Smith, Haymarket: "Mikey has been in excellent form and has scored a few goals so I think that it is only fair that he gets an opportunity. He is a very creative midfielder and Scotland don't have many of those."
James Lawrence, Haymarket: "Michael Stewart has been the driving force behind our climb up the table since his red card at Hamilton was rescinded and he deserves recognition for that. I hope Craig Levein gives him his chance."
Alan Matheson, Edinburgh: "For me, Mikey is still too inconsistent for international level. One week, he's terrific and then he is anonymous the following week. That's not good enough at a higher level of football."
Claire Channon, Gilmerton: "I think Levein needs to look at his options and start picking guys like Stewart. The current crop clearly isn't good enough so we need to look at bringing a few new faces into the squad."
Eric Rolland, Edinburgh: "Mikey's form has been absolutely outstanding in the last few weeks. On that basis, I think that he probably deserves a call-up. It'll be interesting to see whether Levein sticks with the tried-and-tested players or gives new players a chance."
Mark Ford, Newington: "Mikey Stewart is one of the most in-form players in the country at the moment. If he is included in the squad, he will be there on merit and I hope he does get the call."
Rab Milligan, Baberton: "I think that we're finally seeing the real Mikey. He has had a few setbacks this season but he has come back strongly each time. That shows that he has a lot of character and I'd like to see him in the Scotland squad."
Michael Nicholl, Danderhall: "I definitely feel that Mikey should come into the squad. He is a great leader and a very good ball-player. It'd be nice to see another Hearts man in the squad, too."
David Kennedy, Penicuik: "You could make a case for him making the squad but I don't think he'd be good enough to hold down a regular starting berth. Levein has a lot of good midfield options."
