Hearts: Final Answer

What do the fans think is behind Marius Zaliukas' improved discipline and form

Mark Sim, Fountainbridge: "He seems much more level-headed since he has come back and his performance levels have benefited from that. I think that the responsibility of being vice-captain has made the difference."

David Hansen, Tollcross: "With the team being so young, Zaliukas has maybe felt that he has a bit more responsibility and he has done really well. I would like to see him made captain."

Michael McCabe, Restalrig: "He maybe feels a bit more responsible for the team now because he's one of our most experienced players. He seems to thrive in the captain's role."

Robert Ross, Colinton: "The change in attitude in Marius is down to his role as vice-captain to Michael Stewart. He is our most improved player this term and I think that JJ will make him captain next season."

Barry Simmons, Inch: "He is a natural leader and being given the extra responsibility of being vice captain has meant that we're finally getting to see the best of him in a Hearts shirt. He has impressed me because I would have binned him last summer as I thought that he was a liability."

Daniel Nicolson, Loanhead: "I thought he was a little unlucky at times last season and his reputation went before him. I think he has been given a clean slate after missing so many games at the start of the season and he has come back stronger for it."

John McCormick, Prestonfield: "Marius has calmed down on the field and isn't as rash in the tackle. Being vice-captain means a lot to him and that has had a big influence on his attitude."

Eddie Warren, Sighthill: "It was a good move by Csaba Laszlo to give Marius the vice-captaincy. It has given him a sense of responsibility that has improved his game. I think he'll be the new captain at the end of this season."

Frank Harris, Haddington: "Marius has definitely calmed down this season. His attitude is much better and he has played really well since coming back from injury and suspension."

Kevin Walker, Dalry: "Hearts really missed someone with Zaliukas' experience in the early part of the season while Ismael Bouzid and Dawid Kucharski were still finding their feet at SPL level. We've definitely improved since Zaliukas came back."
