Paul Hardie, Danderhall: "Marius Zaliukas would be my choice as captain. His discipline has improved a lot this season and he is an important player for the club now."

Robbie Cain, Portobello: "If he stays, I would like to see Lee Wallace made captain. He has been our best player by a distance this season and he always leads by example with his consistent performances."

John Parrish, Gilmerton: "Lee Wallace would be the natural choice. He knows what the club is all about, he is our biggest asset and he gets better every year. He deserves to be given the armband next."

Harry Williams, Sighthill: "I would like to see one of our experienced players like Wallace, Zaliukas or even Kingston given the captaincy next year. My preference would be for Wallace as I feel it's important to have a Scottish captain who understands the club's traditions."

Tom Ormiston, Haymarket: "It'll be a tough decision for JJ because we have a lack of leaders on the pitch, we saw that against Motherwell. Perhaps Darren Barr could be given the chance since he has experience of being the captain?"

George Russell, Fountainbridge: "I would make Marius Zaliukas the captain. I felt that he probably should have been made captain at the start of last season. I am sure that he would do a good job for us."

Scott Thompson, Dalry: "If he is still at Hearts next season, I'd go for Lee Wallace. If not, what about Ian Black? He's a passionate Hearts fan and he knows what it means to pull on the maroon jersey. I think he can be good for us under JJ."

Alan Nicolson, Gilmerton: "If he stayed and JJ got the very best out of him, I think that Larry Kingston would make a great captain as he has all of the right attributes. If Larry goes, I would like to see Zaliukas as captain."

Craig Wright, Newington: "Marius Zaliukas would be my pick. He has never let us down since he took over the captaincy from Michael Stewart and I would like to see him continue in that role."

Scott Richie, Newington: "I would give the armband to Zaliukas. He seems to have matured and settled down a bit. He has done well as captain so why change it now?"
