Hearts Fanzone

David Dalgleish, Riccarton: "A really good performance from Hearts. I think that the conditions made it really difficult for both teams and it was very difficult for either side to really get any rhythm going on such a poor playing surface. The big moment in the game was probably the decision to send off Larry Kingston.

"For me, it was a 50-50 ball and I couldn't believe it when Willie Collum showed him the red card. In a strange way, that seemed to inject a wee bit of life into the team and we saw the players really working hard for each other after that.

"We settled well and got the goal just at a time when I felt we were starting to create some openings. After that, Aberdeen came at us a bit but we always looked comfortable and I don't even remember Janos Balogh having a save to make. Our determination in the second half meant that we were worthy winners. Now we've opened up a wee gap over Aberdeen in the race for the top six and I am confident that if we can repeat our performance here then we will certainly be favourites."

Martin Payne, Edinburgh: "There wasn't a lot of fantastic football on show but there was plenty of guts and determination and I don't think that we would have won the match had Csaba Laszlo still been in charge. Even when we lost Kingston and were left with a patched-up defence with the injuries to Kucharski and Zaliukas, we still tried to get forward whenever we could and we got our reward for showing a wee bit of ambition with a fantastic goal by Eggert Jonsson.

"It came out of nothing but it was a goal worthy of winning any match. I thought the way we coped with the loss of our two central defenders and held on for the points was to the credit of the players. Next week will be tougher and the injury list isn't getting any shorter but we will be full of confidence going into the game."

Gary Parrish, Morningside: "It was never going to be a great game of football on such a bad pitch but we showed plenty of spirit and were decent value for all three points. If Celtic think that they have problems with the referees, I hope that someone from Celtic Park saw that match.

"We were denied what looked like a clear penalty in the first half for a push on Ryan Stevenson and then Larry Kingston was sent off for nothing. It was a totally ridiculous decision and I would be amazed if we don't win an appeal to have that red card rescinded.

"Despite us being down to ten men, I thought it was still quite an even contest and it was a moment of magic from Jonsson that ultimately won us the game. He has chipped in with a couple of big goals for us but he's never scored one like that before and it could prove to be a big goal for us.

"We've opened up a useful wee gap on Aberdeen and hopefully, with their problems, it'll be enough to secure our top-six spot. The next couple of games will determine whether we're playing for sixth or whether we still have an outside chance of competing for a European spot."
