Hearts believe new season ticket deal is best value in the SPL

HEARTS launched an enticing 2010/11 season ticket campaign today under the banner "Come Home to Tynecastle", with adult prices starting from £260 and children just £25.

Manager Jim Jefferies implored fans to "buy into a dream, a dream we all share" for next year and stressed that he will work in tandem with Vladimir Romanov and the club hierarchy to deliver a successful side centring around home-grown talent.

A number of new initiatives are scheduled for next season to improve communication with supporters. This includes another "Ask the Club" night, a regular monthly email from a board director or member of senior staff, and even an opportunity for supporters to travel to Lithuania to meet Romanov. Hearts will also launch a new project titled "My Idea", allowing season ticket holders to share their own wishes with the club.

It is the season ticket pricing structure, which offers the best value for football in the SPL, that is likely to prove most attractive to supporters. Adult season tickets remain competitive with the unique under-12 season ticket priced at 25, which includes a 6 donation to the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust.

The prices represent an average 20 per cent discount on individual matchday tickets and fans who purchase a season ticket in the Wheatfield Stand's Platinum Zone receive a free replica shirt worth 39.99.

Jefferies spoke of his own emotions at coming home in January when he received the call from Hearts asking him to replace outgoing manager Csaba Laszlo.

"I cannot describe the emotions I felt when I received a call from the board of directors on the afternoon of Friday, 29 January, 2010," he said. "It is a moment that will live with me for the rest of my life.

"Never did I really imagine I would be given the opportunity to reunite with my club – Heart of Midlothian. I am grateful to Mr Romanov for this opportunity and support and I will work hard to materialise his vision of a successful, trophy-winning club.

"I am glad to work with a club where the owners and the board understand the importance of development and investment in youth, infrastructure and the squad. I have met with the decision makers in the club and I am proud to say that their vision is 100 per cent the same as mine, and I truly believe yours as well.

"This is the vision of a top Scottish club, producer of best Scottish talent, regular in European competition, with true Scottish identity, providing every opportunity for home-grown talent on the way to success.

"You certainly gave me an almighty reception before we played Falkirk on 13 February, and I won't forget that. In asking you to back the club in 2010-11, I want you to know you're backing me and my team.

"Billy Brown and I have always wanted to play football the right way, and our aim will be get the ball down, to get great width, and play a style of football that will entertain – and most importantly win games. And that's why we ask you to book your Season Tickets for 2010-11, because you're buying into a dream, a dream we all share.

"Myself, Billy and Gary Locke, along with the players hope we can count on your support once again as we set about making Tynecastle a real fortress. Your support is essential for our success, for each individual player and for the strength of our team spirit. You can be part of that team, a very important part next season."

Sergejus Fedotovas, a director for both Hearts and their parent company Ukio Bankas Investment Group, added: "Our aim is to bring the club closer to its supporters than ever before, by engaging in a direct dialogue with season ticket holders on more organised and a regular basis.

"We recognise the important financial and emotional commitment that our supporters make. Jim Jefferies shares our vision and we know we have not only a Scottish Cup winner, but far more importantly a professional man and a supporter of the club which is a fantastic combination who we trust to deliver the success.

"We genuinely believe that this is a good development in the club for everyone and the next exciting chapter. We are looking forward to becoming stronger, sharper, more efficient. I welcome our supporters to join us once again and be an important part of the club next season."
