Harness racing: Musselburgh up with the Pace

A TOUCH of Ben Hur-style racing has been taking place at Musselburgh this week

The elite of harness racing will again be out in force at the East Lothian course this afternoon as horses and drivers compete for the sport's most prestigious title, the Famous Musselburgh Pace - now in its 118th year. Stoneriggs is one of 19 entries from the Laidler stable in Bishop Auckland and will have driver William "Rocker" Laidler looking to deliver a "home" victory in the 6,000 race for Scots owner David Morton. The first race today is off at 1.30pm.
