Hamilton's season bigger and better

HAMILTON Park is set for its biggest ever season – kicking off in style this Sunday with its popular annual charity event, Cancer Research UK Family Day.

On the track this year the venue's Super Six flagship fixtures become Super Seven – Braveheart Night, Lanark Silver Bell Night, Cash For Kids Night, Family Night featuring Stars Of The X Factor, John Smith's Fair Friday, Ladies Night and Forces and Services Night. Among 18 fixtures overall there are also new themed meetings including a Comedy Night in May, a World Cup Day in June and an Irish Night in August.

Hamilton Park chief executive, Vivien Kyles, said: "There is definitely a feeling of great anticipation and excitement at the racecourse and a belief that this is set to be our biggest season ever."

The general admission prices, which were reduced last year, have been frozen for 2010 while for the third year running there is no increase in the cost of annual memberships.
