Hamill's joy at goal

Kilmarnock utility man Jamie Hamill revealed his own team-mates were surprised when he became the first player to net against Aberdeen this season in the 1-0 win at Pittodrie.

Hamill's injury-time strike consigned the Dons to their first defeat of the season, and also saw Kilmarnock pick up their first points of the new campaign. Said Hamill: "The boys were saying they thought I'd shanked it by the post! But we came to Pittodrie thinking we could take the three points."

Hamilton manager Billy Reid expects new striker Nigel Hasselbaink to terrorise more defenders after his Clydesdale Bank Premier League debut in his side's 1-0 win at Inverness.

The Dutchman - nephew of former Chelsea frontman Jimmy Floyd - impressed in Accies' first win in the league this season after signing from PSV Eindhoven earlier this week. Said Reid: "He's a fantastic young talent and did fantastic for me in pre-season games and I think he could have a big say in weeks to come."
