Eyemouth found difficulty getting out of their own half as Gretna forced the play and, from a Will Heaney free-kick, Gretna central defender Alan Inglis prodded the ball into the net at the near post.

The home side equalised through a Steven Shennan header but Eyemouth were reduced to ten men when Adamson was given a red card for his challenge on Gretna full-back Curtis Wood. Gretna controlled the game after the break and Eyemouth's game was over when they were reduced to nine men.
