Gordon Strachan 'shellshocked' as Middlesbrough woes continue

PRESSURE is mounting on Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan after a second-half collapse against QPR saw his side slump to a 3-0 defeat and left Boro struggling in 20th spot in the Championship. Barry Robson, playing makeshift left-back, gave away a penalty to spark the cave-in.

Kris Boyd wasted Boro's best chance when he fired wide from Robson's corner. "They'll be feeling fantastic but we feel quite shellshocked," admitted Strachan afterwards. "Those are the mood swings you get in football."
