Maintaining her encouraging progress on the Ladies European Tour, Pretswell signed off with a 69 at Golf de L’Ocean in
Agadir to finish joint eighth on six-under.

“I’m delighted with this result, especially as I’ve not been feeling well this week,” said the Nairn-attached player, who picked up a cheque for around £7,500. Coming on the back of two sixth-placed finishes in New Zealand and China, this effort will see Pretswell go into a break on the schedule sitting seventh on the money list with earnings of close to £26,000 from four events.

Pipped in a play-off by Charley Hull last year, Nocera was not to be denied on this occasion, the Frenchwoman closing with a 70 for a two-shot victory over English duo Melissa Reid (66) and Felicity Johnson (67) and South African Nicole Garcia (70).

It was the 39-year-old’s 14th LET title, just three months after her last victory in the Hero Women’s Indian Open. “It was a tough day towards the end but I wanted this tournament really bad and I’m really happy I did it,” she said.
