“Having travelled the world and lived abroad from the age of 14, I have experienced some of the best golf courses and practice facilities in the world,” said Lutton.
“Being around these facilities, as well as working alongside some of the best instructors in the game during my playing career, has shown me how these world-class facilities operate.
“It has also allowed me to understand what it takes to present a course in a way that is not only fit for day-to-day enjoyment for members and guests, but also championship set-ups fit for a European tour events. I aim to use this knowledge to help the overall look and playability of Murrayshall Golf Course.”
Lutton arrives at Murrayshall as it eagerly awaits the decision of a planning application which would see the hotel and estate elevated to a world-class level resort.
Gary Silcock, General Manager at Murrayshall, said: “I'm incredibly excited by Clarke's appointment and his addition to our team, which is working hard to develop one of Perthshire’s top golf clubs into an even bigger facility nationally.
“His global experience and expertise will be a huge asset as we continue to invest in our golf business and customer experience.
“His industry knowledge and tournament preparation will be invaluable, and he will be sure to help us create one of the strongest teams in the golfing world.”
