Marcel Siem sits on verge of Masters dream

Marcel Siem completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Hassan II Trophy in Agadir to all but confirm a debut appearance at the Masters.

Siem shot a two-under par 70 for a 17-under total to prevail by three strokes. The Morocco win is likely to send him into the world’s top 50 – enough to secure an Augusta invitation – but he had to wait for the final results of last night’s Shell Houston Open before booking his flights to Georgia. “It would be wonderful to play the Masters,” he said.

“That will be unbelievable. It’s been my dream since I was a kid so if that comes true, it will be unbelievable.”
