Golf: McLeary sole Scot to make Madrid cut
The former Scottish Challenge winner carded a second successive 71 to sit joint-30th, ten shots behind the leader, Frenchman Francois Calmels. He added a 69 to his opening 63 to lead by two from Englishman Philip Archer.
Callum Macaulay (71) and Steven O’Hara (73) missed out by two shots on 146, one less than Andrew McArthur (73) and three ahead of David Law (74).
Raymond Russell (75) finished on 151; Alastair Forsyth (78) and Lloyd Saltman (78) were eight shots above the cut line on 152 while George Murray finished on 153 after a 76.
