Golf: Burgess four miss Cup tie

ROYAL BURGESS will be severely understrength as they bid to overturn a narrow deficit in the Inter Cities Cup second leg against Cathkin Braes in Barnton.

Doug Ross is at The Masters and will miss Sunday's tie, as will Ian Taylor, John Fraser and John Yuille. Scott Macdonald, Jim Thomson, John Millar, Sandy Gray and Gordon Archibald may replace them.

Team boss Richard Hughes said: "Our strength in depth is going to be severely tested."
