Casey off to a flying start in Palm Beach

PAUL Casey was leading a strong British charge midway through the first round of The Honda Classic in Palm Beach, Florida.

Casey was three under after six, thanks largely to an eagle at the par-5 third, putting him two strokes behind clubhouse leader Nathan Green of Australia.

Alexandre Rocha hit a 66 to sit one stroke behind Green, while DJ Trahan, Bubba Watson and Vijay Singh all hit 65s, putting them level with Casey. Rory McIlroy was one under after 11.
