1. Allis in wonderland

2. Gallacher's Scots first
Bernard Gallacher was the first Scottish winner of the PGA Championship when he triumphed at Ashburnham Golf Club in 1969. It was a breakthrough season for the Bathgate man who was victorious in four professional tournaments and also lifted the Harry Vardon Trophy as Order of merit winner. Photo: Gordon Rule
3. Arnold Palmer wins one for Uncle Sam

4. Tony Jacklin’s double triumph
Tony Jacklin, a two-time major winner, was an outstanding British golfer and twice won the European Tour’s flagship event. His first triumph came at Wentworth in 1972 when it was known as the Viyella PGA Championship. He was triumphant again 10 years later at Hillside when he edged out Bernhard Langer in a play-off.
