Golf: Winning start

LOTHIANS Boys started their season with a 7-3 win over Lanarkshire in an annual friendly at Shotts.

Tantallon's Calum Hill, fresh from reaching the semi-finals in the Scottish Boys' Championship, was in the victorious team, as was Lee Morgan of Newbattle.

Four of the Lothians under-16s won their matches, as did under-14s Murray Naismith and Neil Bowden - both 4 and 3 victors.
