Golf: Turnhouse the team to beat in Edinburgh Inter Club Tournament

TURNHOUSE looked to be the title favourites as the Edinburgh Inter Club Tournament reached the semi-final stage at Prestonfield this morning.

That followed two thumping wins for a strong-looking Turnhouse team yesterday over Craigmillar Park and the defending champions, Prestonfield. They won 10 and 9 in the morning against Craigmillar Park and were equally impressive in beating the hosts 12 and 11 in the second round.

With Steven Armstrong and David Marshall at the front and Graham Robertson and Doug Imrie at the back, Turnhouse looked as though they'd take some stopping in the last four.
