Golf: Strong Scots

HADDINGTON'S Lesley Nicholson will captain a strong-looking Scotland side for next week's European Ladies' Team Championship at La Manga.

It is spearheaded by national champion Kelsey MacDonald and includes Craigielaw's Jane Turner as well as Megan Briggs, Louise Kenney, Laura Murray and Pamela Pretswell.

At the same time, Mortonhall's Rachael Watton joins forces with Eilidh Briggs, Alyson McKechin and Rachael Taylor in the girls' equivalent in Denmark, where the Scottish side is being captained by Baberton's Karen Marshall.
