Golf: Seminar fit for winners

AN Edinburgh golfer is to highlight a fitness formula that has been endorsed by a former European Tour winner.

Duddingston member Craig Tumblety is holding a seminar at his home club tonight (6-8pm) to increase the awareness of fitness in golf.

Tumblety's programmes have been given the thumbs-up by the likes of Stephen McAllister, who won twice on the European Tour. "After my first meeting with Craig, I knew this was the ideal fitness formula for me," said McAllister.

Jamie McLeary, who is attached to Dalmahoy and won the Scottish Hydro Challenge last year, added: "Since working with Craig and Golf Fit I feel better, get less injuries and my swing mechanics look better than ever."

Tonight, Tumblety will give some demonstrations of golf-specific fitness screening and specific warm-up techniques.
