Golf: Porty put on a show

PUPILS from the host school dominated the Portobello Schools Open Championship at Craigentinny.

Portobello's Conor Scott, a four-handicapper at Duddingston, shot a 70 to hold off Boroughmuir's Danny Tritton to claim the Cruden Cup and the 100 voucher for first prize.

Scott, Tritton and another Boroughmuir pupil, Alan Tillie, were fairly level after nine holes but the Portobello player came back in 35 while the others fell away on the back nine.
