Scottish Senior Women's: Kilmarnock Barassie's Alex Glennie won the title at Portpatrick Dunskey with rounds of 76 and 74 for a total of 150.She had a shot to spare over runner-up Noreen Fenton (Dunbar), who scored 75 and 76. Joint-third on 152 were overnight leader Alison Bartlett (Royal Dornoch) and Cruden Bay's Jill Harrison. Defending champion Heather Anderson (Blairgowrie) was fifth on 154.

Open Qualifying: Aberdonian Scott Henderson missed out on a spot at Royal St George's in a fortnight's time after being among the two losers in a four-man play-off at Royal Cinque Ports yesterday. English duo Simon Lilly and Andrew Johnston claimed the berths, while the delayed qualifier at Littletstone saw two other English players, Andy Smith and Lee Corfield, progress along with Austrian professional Markus Brier.

Scottish Senior Men's: Robbie Fulker (Kilmarnock Barassie) shot a 70 - the only sub-par round of the day - to set the early pace at Irvine Bogside. He leads by three shots from Douglas Cameron (Moor Park), Charles Banks (Stanton on the Wolds) and Derek Murphy (Kinross), with multiple Kilspindie champion Bob Humble among ten players a further shot adrift.

Hilton Park Young Pros: Former Walker Cup player David Patrick (Elie Sports Centre) scored his first win of the Tartan Tour season over the Allander course. Patrick earned the 400 first prize - boosting his tournament earnings this year to close on 5,000 - with a one-under-par round of 68. He won by a shot from two players on the 69 mark, Graham Mackay (Prestonfield) and Graeme Brown (Montrose).

Faldo Series: Adam Dunton from McDonald Ellon shot a five-under 67 to lead the field of 64 players in the Scottish qualifying round at The Roxburghe, near Kelso. Dunton finished a shot ahead of England's Richard Pickard. Ayrshire women's champion Rachael McQueen (Troon Ladies) and last year's Scottish Under-18 champion Lesley Atkins (Gullane Ladies) finished joint-first in the girls' section with one-over-par 73s.
