Golf: Murrayfield march on

MURRAYFIELD are through to the semi-finals of the Mail on Sunday Women's Classic after beating West Essex 3-2 in their quarter-final at Worsley Park in Manchester.

Margaret Fergusson, Norma Richmond and Caroline Johnstone provided the crucial wins for the Capital club, who were also represented by Finngerd Clark and Rosie Dennis.

They've now earned a trip to Spain along with another Scottish club, Skelmorlie, for the semi-finals towards the end of November.
