Golf: McLeary's top-ten boost

JAMIE McLeary of Marriott Dalmahoy bounced back well from a poor third round to secure a top-ten finish in the Turkish Airlines Challenge at Carya Golf Club in Belek.

Last year's Scottish Hydro Challenge winner, McLeary lost his halfway lead after firing a 77 on Saturday but signed off with a 69 to finish in a tie for eighth on 282, six under par.

George Murray (70) and Raymond Russell (72) both finished on four-under, with Scott Jamieson, the only Scot to make the cut, well down the field on three-over after a closing 75.

The title went to Englishman Charlie Ford, who captured his maiden title after beating Oscar Floren of Sweden at the first extra hole in a play-off.
