Golf: Louise Kenney and Paul Shields prove perfect blend

PITREAVIE'S Louise Kenney, fresh from helping Scotland win the Women's Home Internationals in Wales, joined forces with Paul Shields of Kirkhill to win the Scottish Mixed Foursomes Championship at Haggs Castle.

On a wet course playing long, the pair fired an excellent alternate-shot score of 71, two under the women's standard scratch and one below the men's SS. They won by two shots from Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) and son Gavin (Prestwick) as well as Baberton brother and sister Karen and Stephen Marshall.
