Golf: Lothians are runners-up

LOTHIANS finished a distant second behind Glasgow in the Scottish Inter-Area Senior Men's Team Championship at West Kilbride.

A team consisting of Alan O'Neill, Ian Taylor, Lindsay Gordon, Robert Jack, George Blair and Mike Currie headed to Ayrshire with high hopes.

But their total of 382 was well beaten by a Glasgow side made up of Alistair McMillan, Gordon Fuller, John McDonald, Ricky Gray, George Crawford and Graeme Cox.
