Golf: Lothian duo out of luck

THE Lothians duo of Gillian Simpson (Murrayfield) and Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe) both lost in the semi-finals of the East of Scotland Girls' Championship at Haddington.

Simpson went down by 3 and 2 to Alison Goodwin from Glenbervie while McIntosh lost on the last green to Rachael Hanlon, the St Regulus player who went on to lift the title for a second time.
