Golf: Kings cash in with offer

KINGS ACRE director of golf Alan Murdoch is delighted with the uptake in what he believes is a "modern-day membership package".

It allows people to pay an annual fee of either 50 or 200 and they then get a much-reduced green fee – it ranges from just 7 to 20 depending on the category – whenever they choose to play the course.

"The uptake has been significant," said Murdoch. "Some people don't want to pay 600 if they are only going to play 12-15 times in a year."
