Golf: Kate again

HOLDER Kate McIntosh, of Broomieknowe, has retained the Midlothian County Ladies' Junior Championship over Glencorse.

She shot a scratch 76 to win by three shots from clubmate Hannah Scott. Murrayfield's Julia Smith carded a net 56 playing off 36 to claim the handicap honours by six shots from Emma Morrison of Craigmillar Park.

At Whitekirk, North Berwick's Clara Young shot a course-record 72 to win the East Lothian Girls' Autumn Meeting, with Charlotte Munro (Gullane Ladies) taking the handicap prize with a net 67.
