Golf: Jane turns on style for win

Scotland international golfer Jane Turner (Craigielaw), the British universities' women's stroke-play champion, returned to form by winning the Riccarton Rosebowl, a 36-hole SLGA Order of Merit event, by two strokes at Hamilton.

Turner, a graphic design student at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, had steady rounds of 71 and 72 for 143, finishing two shots ahead of Scotland junior cap Rebecca Wilson (Grange) and Susan Wood.

Wilson was placed second by virtue of having the better second round, a 72 to Wood's 74.
