Golf: Harrison Open for business

AFTER being postponed last year due to a lack of sponsorship, the Harrison Open returns next Saturday with funds having been raised by members of the Braids club.

"We have held various fund-raising events and, due to their success, this has allowed the club to go ahead with running our Open this year," said club secretary Allan Torrance.

Two current Scottish internationalists, Allyn Dick and Brian Soutar, are due to play while the field also includes Silverknowes duo Keith Reilly and Tam Caldwell as well as David Miller of Duddingston.

Entries, which cost 10, are still being taken and forms can be obtained from Allan Torrance at [email protected]
