Golf: Grieve feeling the heat

TURNHOUSE pro Scott Grieve still tops the East Alliance order of merit, but his lead has been cut by amateur ace Mike Thomson.

In finishing ahead of Grieve in the last two events, Torwoodlee's Thomson has moved within six points of the leader.

Merchants pro Neil Colquhoun is also still very much in the title race, trailing Thomson, the former Scottish Mid-Amateur champion, by six points. Lochend's David Graham leads the handicap order of merit after winning the latest event, the Berwickshire Trophy at The Glen.
