Golf: Fraser Mann makes decent start

MUSSELBURGH'S Fraser Mann, playing in only his second event on the European Senior Tour, shared the honour of leading Scot with Sandy Lyle after today's opening round in the Chang Thailand Senior Masters.

The former Scottish PGA champion shot a two-under-par 70 over the Royal Gems Golf Club in Nakhonpathom to lie in a share of 24th. Mann, who earned his Tour card following a great performance at the Q-School at the end of last year, had three birdies and one bogey - at the last.

John Chillas was just behind Mann and Lyle on 72, with Bill Longmuir and Sam Torrance a further shot adrift.
