Golf: Europeans to the fore at WGC in Tuscon

After two days of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson there are only three top ten seeds left - and they are all European, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell and Luke Donald. Kaymer, who needed two extra holes to get past Justin Rose, now takes on Hunter Mahan.

Donald defeated Edoardo Molinari and now faces 17-year-old Matteo Manassero, a rising star if ever there was one.

McDowell plays Korean YE Yang knowing that even if he loses he will move ahead of Tiger Woods - beaten by Thomas Bjorn on Wednesday - on the world rankings.

Rory McIlroy suffered a crushing 8&7 loss to Ben Crane while Lee Westwood lost by one hole to Nick Watney. Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey also lost.
