Golf: Eric's Audi bid

AN east Lothian golfer has qualified for the regional final of the Audi Quattro Cup and now has a chance of earning a trip to China.

Eric Lambert, a 58-year-old from Dirleton, finished third in a qualifier at Fairmont St Andrews with a Stableford haul of 35 points.

He goes forward to play at Slaley Hall near Hexham, County Durham, on July 11, when he will be hoping to move another step closer to the world final at Mission Hills in November.
