JOHN DOUGLAS, a former restaurant manager and duty manager at Marriott Dalmahoy, is the new general manager at Deer Park.

Douglas, who also had a spell as house manager at Prestonfield House, said: "It's an industry I love and one which continually presents fresh challenges such as my new role here at Deer Park.

"We need to be forward thinking as a team to take the business forward, with the economy having just come out of recession, and create a friendly, helpful, well-trained team who ensure all members and guests have a great experience."
