Golf: Baberton face Turnhouse

BABERTON have been drawn at home to Turnhouse in the opening round of this season's Scottish Ladies' Foursomes.

Merchants will also have home advantage when they take on Murrayfield in another all-Capital clash, but Gullane Ladies face a trip to Gifford.

Seventy-eight golf clubs from across Scotland are represented in the competition, with the first-round ties to be played before April 17.

The semi-finals and final are at Glenbervie on August 28, when the Stirlingshire club will also host the Scottish Stroke-play Foursomes.
