Glen Urquhart off to a flyer beating Kinlochshiel

The Drumnadrochit outfit put four past Kinlochshiel without reply – a marked departure from previous seasons. Glen are traditionally poor starters, tending to reach their potential as the season goes on.
This year, though, they want to hit the ground running in the honours quest and MacKintosh is delighted to be off the starting blocks so convincingly.

“What was pleasing about the weekend was that, in the last three years, we haven’t started well at all and ended up making up lost ground.”
The Glen management team has been re-structured this year, with Fraser MacKenzie and Drew McNeil stepping aside for work and family reasons.
David Menzies and Billy McLean are the new men at the helm.
James MacPherson, with a double, Lewis MacLennan and Neale Reid hit the target for Glen.
In the other Premiership clash, Lovat also signaled their intent with an excellent 2-0 home victory over Kyles Athletic. Owen Ferguson and Greg Matheson got the goals.
