CALA Edinburgh failed to live up to expectations as they went down 3-1 to a lively Giffnock outfit in the Subway national league.

Giffnock led after goals from Elaine Brierley, Louise Fleming and Susan Bruce, before the Edinburgh side got a late consolation through Laura Harrison.

Elsewhere, a hat-trick from Ellie Cockburn was the catalyst in Milne Craig Western's 5-1 thumping of Porcelanosa Kelburne.
