Glasgow School of Sport titles decided

BADMINTON: Darren Reid (Uddingston Grammar) and Cara McCulloch (Auchinleck Academy) won the under-15 titles at the Glasgow School of Sport Championships.

Reid beat Matthew Duguid (Mackie Academy) 21-17, 21-10 in the boys’ final, while McCulloch overcame Eleanor O’Donell (Glasgow School of Sport) 21-17, 21-18.

In the under-11 boys and girls singles, Josh McKay (Mill O’ Forrest Primary School) beat Adam Pringle (Carolside Primary) 21-14 and Rachael Sugden (Alexandria) defeated Rachael Andrew (George Watson’s College) 21-16.

“Our aim is to grow in numbers and age groups every year,” said Craig Robertson, High Performance badminton coach at the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy.
