Gibsons in harmony for Junior World Cup

CANOEING: Strathallan’s brother and sister duo Angus and Eilidh Gibson were selected to compete at the canoeing Junior World Cup in Slovenia recently.

Angus came fifth in the Solkan Junior 14/Canadian Singles event and fifth in the Tacen Junior 14/C1 event which gives him a world ranking of fifth for his age group.

Eilidh, who has recently been promoted to the top Premier Division for K1 and C1, finished tenth in the Tacen J16/K1 event.

Meanwhile, fellow Strathallan pupil Crawford Niven has also competed well of late. He has achieved four top five results in Division 2 competitions and received promotion to Division 1. And Fraser Glasgow came third at the Abby Rapids event in Teeside in the J14/C1 event.
