Geraghty to rejoin Exiles

STAND-OFF Shane Geraghty will rejoin London Irish this summer after signing a two-year deal with the club he left in 2009.

The 25-year-old angered Exiles coach Toby Booth when he left for Northampton after graduating from the London Irish academy but director of rugby Brian Smith insists he will be welcomed back from his current side, Brive.

Smith said: “I know Shane well and he is an exceptional player with a great deal of skill.

“He’s a game-breaking ball player and he’s matured as a game controller. As we’re a team that wants to attack, Shane is a great player to partner [Ireland scrum-half] Tomas O’Leary.”
